Ice hockey game benefits family of a late school employee
A Mathew Blum memorial hockey game was held Saturday, May 21 at Winding River Skating Center in Toms River. Blum, 32, of Forked River, worked in the security department at Lacey Township High School before he died of natural causes at Community Medical Center on Feb. 27, 2011. Blum, an avid hockey player, had collapsed in the parking lot at the skating center. Proceeds from the event will benefit his wife Melissa, who is pregnant with their first child.
