Volunteers Invited to Discuss, Plan Sandy Recovery Efforts
Ocean County Department of Human Services is forming Long Term Recovery Committee
Nonprofits, faith-based communities and volunteer groups are invited to participate in a Long Term Recovery Committee that the Ocean County Department of Human Services is convening. The Committee will meet from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 19 at the Holiday Inn, 290 Route 37 E., Toms River, to "focus on Ocean County needs resulting from the impact of Sandy," according to an email from Ryan Reilly, the coordinator of the Human Services Advisory Council. "Ocean County's intention is not to take over the work of these agencies but to promote a formalized and unified effort.
