Morgan, a four-year-old boxer-pit bull mix, went missing in the confusion of the nighttime fire - reward offered
Morgan come home. Helen Buzinkai and her family may have lost everything in the fire that destroyed their Hilltop Drive early Monday morning. But the material things lost during the inferno don't matter to her. "That's a big nothing to me," she said tonight. All Buzinkai wants is her baby back. Morgan, a four-year-old boxer-pit bull mix, was rescued from a horrific life in South Carolina two years ago. She ended up at the Jersey Shore Animal Center, where Helen and her family found her. Morgan has been missing since the fire. Helen and her fiance Bill Schreiber had put her and another family dog in the fenced-in back yard to keep them as far away from the blaze as possible. One year ago on Monday, Rocky the Boxer ran away. From time to time, residents sighted Rocky but he never returned home. This week, Rocky’s original foster mom continues to mourn the loss of the boxer. “It’s going to be a very emotional week,” Cherilyn Bain said. “My life is so different now from a year ago. I don’t know whether to be thankful or to keep crying about it.” Bain took Rocky in from a breeder and was training him prior to putting him up for adoption. Rocky hadn’t been socialized and struggled to do every day dog functions, she said. He lived with Bain for several months before being adopted by a Forked River family. Boxer dog missing for five weeks, search being organized
A pair of Lacey citizens are enlisting assistance in the search for a boxer dog named Rocky, who has been missing now for five weeks. Rocky’s owner Cherilyn Bain along with friend Cindy Critelli are asking anyone who would like to assist in the search for Rocky to gather at the Wawa on Route 9 South in Forked River, tomorrow at 11 a.m. The group will conduct their search until 6 p.m. “We’re trying to get a bunch of people to hike through trails this Saturday to search for Rocky—there is a lot of area to cover, and we want to hike back into the woods in the area where he has been sighted to hopefully find him,” the ladies mentioned in a Facebook event post.
