Lacey Township Christmas Parade Slated for Sunday

The parade will run from the Lacey United Methodist Church to the Municipal Building at 3 p.m.

‘Tis the season for the Lacey Township Christmas Parade, which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. The parade, sponsored by the Lacey Elk’s Lodge, will begin at the Lacey United Methodist Church located at 203 Lacey Road and ends at the Lacey Township Municipal Building. The parade will feature veterans, fire and first aid organizations, color guards, scout troops, marching bands, floats from various organizations and a special appearance by Santa. Canned and non-perishable goods will be collected along the route of the parade to be donated to the Lacey Food Bank. Staging will begin in the parking lot of the Lacey United Methodist Church after 2 p.m. The Lacey Elks will also be holding a memorial service at 9:30 a.m. at the lodge in …

Lacey Christmas Parade Slated for Sunday

Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Lacey Food Bank

Just days after Thanksgiving, some homes are already decked out with Christmas lights and decorations. The township will follow suit at 3 p.m. Sunday with the 26th annual Christmas parade. “It’s just a chance for the community to get together and embrace the Christmas season,” Richard Bard of the Lacey Elks Lodge said. The event, which is organized by the Lacey Elks, will begin at the Lacey United Methodist Church on Lacey Road and will travel west to the Municipal Building, he said. Township officials will then light the Christmas tree. The Elks worked in conjunction with the Lacey Food Bank.
