Bakery to Replace Former Fast Cash Location

Confection Connection is coming to Lacey from Manasquan

A bakery will be filling in the unit where Fast Cash used to be located on Lacey Road after receiving administrative approval by the Planning Board. Confection Connection will be coming to town as the Planning Board lifted certain food restrictions for the particular unit. Richard Holzer, the landlord of the local strip mall in Forked River, previously went before the Planning Board on two separate occasions for an amended site plan — to have an elevator removed and to lift food restrictions. “He’s had great difficulty complying with the restrictions imposed by the board at this site in order to rent out the site to qualified tenants,” attorney Chris Supsie said. Fast Cash To Move To Corner Of Route 9 And Jones Road

The company that buys and sells merchandise may have two locations come the fall

What used to be a demolished building at the corner of Route 9 and Jones Road is beginning to take the shape of a future store. Formerly Square Deal Hardware, the building will soon be Fast Cash with an anticipated completion date sometime in the fall. Fast Cash has been located on Lacey Road in Forked River for about three years. The store will still have the lease for that location once they open the new building. It is unknown whether they plan to utilize both locations. “We’re not sure what we’re doing now,” owner Matt Cumberton said. Cumberton said the move simply makes sense for the business. “We need more space and it’s a better location. More exposure really,” Cumberton said.
