UPDATE: District to Hold Meeting for Parents in Response to Sandy Hook Shooting
The Parent Advisory Committee meeting, which was originally going to be held Tuesday, Dec. 18, for parents of special needs students will be rescheduled
The school district’s Parent Advisory Committee meeting for parents of special needs students will be rescheduled as a forum will now be held for all parents and guardians on the Connecticut shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that claimed 26 lives. All parents are invited to the community forum, Superintendent Dr. Sandra Brower said. Expert speakers including Brower, Cpt. David Paprota, school psychologist and social workers will be discussing the district’s response to crisis and emergency management. Michael Maschi, Director of the Office of Special Services, will be presenting on the “Seven C’s of Resilience,” Brower said.
