Celebrate With Santa at the Forked River House

The Bamber Lakes Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Lacey Township EMS present “Celebrate with Santa” on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Residents can celebrate the holiday season with Santa on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Forked River House from 5 to 9 p.m. The Bamber Lakes Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Lacey Township EMS present “Celebrate with Santa.” The event will include a buffet dinner, Christmas cookies for sale, a cash bar, music, a silent auction, give aways and children get a free printed picture with Santa. Santa Comes to Town, Spreading Christmas Cheer

Residents of all ages awaited Santa on the fire truck with excitement and anticipation

December crept up on me with no warning this year. I took it upon myself to decorate the family Christmas tree, but even with the white lights, red ribbon and crystal angels, it just still didn’t feel like Christmas. A ride with Santa Claus on the Forked River fire truck Wednesday evening snapped me out of the doldrums. With Santa and his sleigh set on the roof, lights of all colors lit up the truck. Christmas music blared as we turned down Forked River streets, most of which were also lit up with lights and decorations, and I operated the siren to alert residents of Santa’s presence. Residents of all ages — and their dogs — showed a childlike spirit that night. The smiles, excitement and pride showed on faces of the young and elderly. …

Santa's Coming to Town

Santa will be riding on his fire truck through Dec. 15

Santa will be riding on a fire truck throughout Lacey over the next few weeks. See the schedule below to see when he’ll be coming to your neighborhood. The schedules are weather permitting and also depend on how long it takes Santa and his truck to get through each area of town. The schedule is subject to change without notice. Breakfast With Santa Set at the Lacey Elks Lodge Sunday, Dec. 16

Admission is $6 for adults

The Lacey Elks Lodge will host its annual Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. Admission for the buffet breakfast is $6 per adult. Children 10 years old and younger are free. Santa will make an appearance. Parents are asked to bring a wrapped gift with a nametag to present to the children. The Lacey Elks Lodge is located at 900 Beach Boulevard in Forked River. Sundaes With Santa Set for Saturday

Have a sundae with Santa at the high school from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8

Community members can have a sundae with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lacey Township High School. The Lacey Township High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association is holding its annual Sundaes with Santa. Admission per child is $8 and includes a sundae and one free photo with Santa. There will also be make and take crafts, face painting and tattoos. A 50/50 raffle will also be offered. Those who bring in a canned good for the Lacey Food Bank will receive a free tattoo.
