Who has the best “decked” house in Lacey? According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home has the best holiday lights in Lacey. We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors. We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest. We’ve chosen 24 finalists from all our entries across the country. We’re launching our annual Deck the House Contest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in America—the best “decked” house in the country—the one home so spectacularly decorated that everyone in town jokes your holiday decorations could rival Rockefeller Center’s. If this sounds like your house, upload a photo or video of your home to our contest page until Dec. 16. Only residents of Patch towns are eligible to enter. We’ll select 24 regional finalists, and from them, pick one grand prize winner. Patch will pay up to $500 of the utility bill for each finalist, while our national winner will have $100,000 donated to his or her local school district.

Yes, we are looking a little different today.
No, you're not losing it! Patch looks different today. We did a quick visual nip-and-tuck to the homepage to make it even more user-friendly. And we've moved a couple pieces of furniture. For those keeping score: 1. We tweaked some words in our navigation bar to save space (e.g., "Traffic & Gas" is now "Commute") 2. We moved the weather icon next to the Patch branding so you can find it more quickly! 3. We moved, well, YOU closer to the top! (Our "shout stream" is now front and center to show all your comments off.) 4. And of course we prettified a few things.
