Sean Sharkey announced that he will not be seeking re-election

The municipal county committee will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in Community Hall, which is ultimately the final opportunity for a candidate to be selected. The Democrats have until Thursday, Sept. 13, to find a replacement candidate to appear on the November ballot. If an interested candidate approaches the committee, they will undergo an interview.
