Intoxicated Man Fled Scene of Accident, Later Transported to Hospital

A Villas, N.J. man struck a tree and parked vehicle with a Chevrolet Camaro that was reported stolen

A Villas, N.J. resident was transported to the hospital after a hit and run motor vehicle accident, police said. Matthew Bland, 27, was allegedly driving a black Chevrolet Camaro down Spaulding Avenue at a high rate of speed on Friday at 1:15 a.m. when he crossed Andover Road and struck a tree and parked vehicle in a yard. Police responded to the intersection of Spaulding Avenue and Andover Road but Bland allegedly fled the scene in a second vehicle. The Camaro was later reported stolen from the parking lot of the Forked River House. Police were dispatched to a Sunrise Boulevard home at 3:07 a.m. for an intoxicated male, Bland, with a severe leg injury. He was then identified as the driver of the Camaro, police said. Alleged Hit and Run Driver Still at Large

An East Hanover woman sustained injuries after a black pickup truck rammed into her vehicle and fled the scene

An East Hanover woman was injured in a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occurred near Route 9 and South Street on Sunday, police said. Danielle Pisano, 32, was traveling northbound on Route 9 at approximately 1:53 a.m. when a black pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed behind her. The black pickup rammed into the back of Pisano’s car, as it was still moving and fled the scene. The truck is believed to have traveled northbound into Berkeley Township, police said. Police said the accident was “significant,” leaving a large amount of debris on the roadway. Police believe the black pickup truck sustained front-end damage. Pisano sustained injuries and was transported to Community Medical Center. Police are requesting that …

Lacey Boy Unharmed After Hit and Run

Police were unable to locate the vehicle that struck the 14-year-old boy

Police responded to a hit and run Wednesday night after a 14-year-old male had been knocked off his bicycle, Lt. James Veltri said. The male, who sustained a skinned limb, did not require medical attention when police responded at 8:30 p.m. The juvenile had been crossing Lacey Road just east of Wawa when he was struck by a blue subcompact car traveling east on the street. Police were unable to locate the car that hit the boy.

It is a shame the boy was hit, glad he didn't receive serious injuries. The children should learn the rules of the road however; just the other day a young hefty boy cut right in front of me on Lakeside Drive North and when I tooted my horn to warn him I was behind him, he flipped me the bird and started cursing at me.
