State Assemblyman Dave Rible minutes ago commented on the shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords outside of an Tucson, Ariz., supermarket earlier today. Rible, a Wall resident, said he was at home watching news reports come in about the incident. He expressed his shock at the incident, calling the shooting of 18 people a “terrible tragedy.” “It concerns me about where we’re going as a society,’’ said Rible, R-Monmouth. “It's something that you would never have thought of until something like this happens.’’ He said, however, the shooting would not keep him from meeting publicly with constituents.
