Disaster Aid Application Deadline Extended
The new deadline of April 1 allows residents additional time to register for FEMA assistance.
The deadline for residents affected by Hurricane Sandy to apply for individual disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been extended to April 1. Gov. Chris Christie's office announced Thursday. The extension applies for homeowner, renter, and business registration with the Small Business Administration for Disaster Loan Assistance, according to a release. The disaster aid application deadline has been extended multiple times as New Jersey continues to rebuild following Sandy.
