NFL Players Come to Lacey for March Madness
Education, goal-setting, character, community, clean-living— and a Friday fundraiser for polio and clean water
As Lonnie Allgood, former NFL player for the Cincinnati Bengals, announced that he was bringing professional athletes to Lacey, Cedar Creek third and fourth graders let out a series of respectful “ooohs.” A March Madness basketball game will take place at Lacey Township High School Friday, March 11 as a fundraiser for Interact, a LTHS student organization, and Dreams for Kids, a non-profit run by Allgood. Professional football players will play short basketball games against six teams of local Lacey residents. Groups represented in individual teams include Lacey athletes, the high school varsity football team, a girl’s basketball team, teachers, coaches and police officers.
