Police Searching For Suspects In Attempted Burglary of Forked River Pharmacy

Incident occurred early Monday morning, police chief says

Lacey police are investigating the attempted burglary of the Forked River Pharmacy on Route 9 South earlier this week, Police Chief David A. Paprota said. Officers responded to the pharmacy at 6:55 a.m. on Monday on a report of criminal mischief and attempted burglary. The incident occurred sometime between the time the store closed on Sunday and early morning on Monday, before the pharmacy opened, the chief said. An unknown suspect or suspects pried open a rear door at the pharmacy, but did not enter the main part of the store. Nothing in the pharmacy appeared to have been stolen, Paprota said. The damage was estimated at $500, he said. Detective Robert Surtees is investigating.

The problem is that when these addicts are caught the judge gives them a slap on the wrist and lets them back out again.. Something definitly has to change here .. keep them locked up and have them go through withdrawal and hopefully that will make them stop.. Police: Lacey Burglar Pried Open Bathroom Window to Forked River Home

A Forked River man was arrested for his alleged connection to a recent burglary. Detectives Brian Flynn and Robert Surtees arrested Christopher Jones, 25, on Feb. 14. Police responded to the report of a burglary that took place on Feb. 10 at an Annapolis Lane, Forked River home. More than $1,300 in jewelry and other items was stolen. Jones allegedly pried the bathroom window open before entering the home during a brief period when the residents were not home, police said. Detectives utilized forensic evidence collected at the scene along with other evidence to identify Jones. He was arrested after he was located by police sleeping in his vehicle in the driveway of his Lacey home. Jones was charged with burglary and theft. He was …

Three Arrested in Barnegat, Waretown Burglaries

Two Waretown, one Forked River resident charged

Three area residents have been arrested and charged with burglaries connected with two seasonal residences located on Bayshore Drive in Barnegat and one seasonal residence in neighboring Waretown. Arrested and charged between October 11th and October 15th were Anthony Brito 3rd, 19, of Forked River, Tyler Lecoque, 18, of Waretown, and Richard Tieto Jr., 20, of Waretown, according to Barnegat police.  The Barnegat burglaries occurred at two seasonal Bayshore Drive residences on Sept. 15 and Sept. 18. More than $11,000 in electronics and jewelry was stolen from one residence. Police: 2 Lacey Males in Jail Following Burglary Investigation

The county K-9 unit was utilized to track suspects to another home

Two Lanoka Harbor males have been charged with the burglary of a Hemlock Drive home. Kyle Pianetti, 20, and Jeffrey Burgoyne, 18 were arrested after police responded to a Hemlock Drive home on Sept. 7 in reference to a possible burglary. The caller stated that he observed a white male leaving the rear yard of his neighbor’s residence with a power washer, police said. Upon arrival, police determined the home had been burglarized. Police obtained a description of the suspects and an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit responded to the scene and tracked them to a Briar Road home. Lacey Man Charged With Burglary, Arrested in Municipal Building

Lanoka Harbor male accused off stealing money out of a pickup truck was at the Lacey Township Municipal Building for a scheduled court date

A Lanoka Harbor male was arrested inside the Lacey Township Municipal Building after he allegedly stole money out of a pickup truck, police said. Patrick Cornelius, 23, was reportedly stealing money out of a pickup truck parked in the municipal parking lot on Tuesday, July 31, police said. When police arrived at the scene at 2:41 p.m., Cornelius was located inside the Municipal Building for a scheduled court date, police said. Cornelius was arrested at the scene and charged with burglary, theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set by Judge Damian Murray at $30,000. Cornelius was previously issued a complaint summons in July 2011 after police responded to a male and female …

Police: Lacey Teen in Jail After Attempted Burglary

Criminal mischief, thefts and burglaries for the last week

A Forked River teen was arrested and charged with burglary after he was caught in the act, police said. Cory Festa, 19, of Forked River and a 16-year-old Forked River female were found inside a Beach Boulevard home when the resident returned on Tuesday, July 31, police said. Fest was believed to be going through the bedroom of the home when the police arrived at 5:45 a.m. The 16-year-old female fled prior to police arrival, police said. Both Festa and the 16-year-old female were unknown to the resident. Festa was charged with one count of burglary, one count of criminal attempt and one count of theft. He was sent to Ocean County Jail with bail set at $10,000. He couldn’t post bail, police said. Charges are forthcoming for the 16-year-old…

Police: Lacey Teen Arrested For Attempted Burglaries

A 17-year-old male was charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief

A 17-year old Forked River male was arrested in relation to an attempted break in to a home on Clairmore Avenue, police said.  Police received a call in reference to a suspicious male at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15. The male was reportedly walking through the backyards of homes near Clairmore Avenue and Burnnell Street. Another caller reported that a male, matching the same description, attempted to break into a home on Clairmore Avenue. Patrolman Pearce responded to that home and confirmed that a rear window had been broken. It was discovered that an attempt was made on another home on Bunnell Street, police said. Shortly after, police conducted a traffic stop on Clairmore Avenue, which led to the arrest of the 17-year-old male. The …

Bayville Woman Arrested for Fraud

Bayville woman allegedly stole and used a Lacey resident's credit card

A Bayville resident was arrested for allegedly stealing and fraudulently using a credit card. Michelle Della-Pietro, 32, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card. In February 2012, a Seabright Road resident reported fraudulent activity on their credit card. Police investigation led to the arrest of Della-Pietro. Della-Pietro allegedly entered the victim’s home, stole the credit card and used it as her own, police said She was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $35,000.

Two Beachwood Residents Charged With Forked River Burglary

Over $1,000 in jewelry was stolen

Two Beachwood residents were arrested for the connection to a Forked River residential burglary. Thomas Laffey and Kimberly Lemmon, both 25, were arrested after a motor vehicle stop for the alleged connection to a burglary. A resident of Riverview Drive in Forked River reported at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 that forced entry was made at their home while he was away for approximately 30 minutes. Jewelry valued at $1,200 was stolen. Not long after, an Ocean Township resident contact police after witnessing a similar burglary to their neighbor’s home. That call led to a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of Life and Lemmon. Police obtained a search warrant and recovered jewelry from both residences. Both suspects were charged in both …
