Two Burglaries Reported In Forked River Over Past Week
Incidents occurred on Center Street and Taylor Lane, police chief says
Two homes were robbed in the Forked River section of the township over the past week, Police Chief David A. Paprota said. Police were notified of the first theft around noon on April 9, when a Taylor Lane resident met with Officer Noah Schaffer. The resident reported that someone stole an air conditioning compressor from the side of the home sometime during the past month, the chief said. The stolen coil was described as possibly being manufactured by Carrier and had an estimated value of $450. The electrical wiring connecting the unit to the house was cut, which caused roughly $1,400 in damages, Paprota said.
