SATURDAY - Shorefest BBQ at the Lacey United Methodist Church, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., 203 Lacey Road . The event features food, crafts, are art show, vendors, games and prizes. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of food categories. Representatives of some of Lacey's well-known restaurants will there, along with WOBM and the Hawk. Admission is free.

SATURDAY - Night of the Stars, 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., Jakes Branch County Park, 500 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Members of the Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area (A.S.T.R.A.) will be on hand to help stargazers. No registration required. Feel free to bring your own telescope.
