Lake Barnegat Beach will be the setting for the annual Lacey Township Beach Bash, which starts at noon on Saturday.
Come and meet some pirates, go on a pirate treasure hunt, get your picture taken with a pirate.
The event at the township's second lake will also feature games, the music of DNA, a Caribbean-infused pop due and food.
The rain date is Sunday, June 15. The Beach Bash is free.
The event also marks the official opening of the township's beaches. Beach badges are available for purchase on site. They can also be purchased at the township Recreation Office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 10 am. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays in June or July.
Badges are $5 each The fee is non-refundable. Proof of residency is required.
