The polls are running smoothly as Municipal Clerk Veronica Laureigh reported that there have not been any problems and the lines are no longer than usual.

With one person working at the polls at the Municipal Building, there was only one complaint to Lacey Patch about lines.

Some residents expressed patriotism as they said they were “exercising their right to vote.”

“It’s the great American right. You don’t have the right to complain if you don’t vote,” Marty Martinez said.

Education is important, resident after resident said.

“I voted to pass the budget to make sure teacher’s get paid and the district runs, Laura Rubin said.

Others said that there is no reason to say no.

“There’s no increase. There is no reason to vote against it,” Ralph Lucas said.

One anonymous resident opposed to the budget said the board of education should put a cap on it due to the poor economic times.
