Superintendent Extends Stay Through October

New Jersey School Boards Association to hold another community information session Monday, Aug. 22

Starodub was set to retire on Aug. 30 but has now pushed back his departure date to Oct. 31 as the .

“He’s always been an agreeable guy and is willing to do what it takes to help the district out,” Martenak said.

When Starodub originally announced his retirement in May, he included in his letter to the school board that if necessary, he would be willing to extend his stay.

Extending his retirement date will provide more continuity to the school district, Martenak said.

The application deadline for the position was Aug. 15. A consultant, Charlene Zoerb, from the New Jersey School Boards Association will be delivering the applications next week, Martenak said.

The new superintendent is scheduled to be named by the end of October.

Another will be held on Monday, Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. Zoerb will provide an overview of input of the input from the public to the staff and school board.
