Sept. 18: County Connection Assistance, Back to School Night, New Jersey Birds

1. If you had a problem with a purchase or an unreliable repairman, visit the County Connection in Toms River where a representative from the Ocean County Consumer Affairs Department will be available from 5 to 9 p.m. to provide assistance.

2. Also at the County Connection, representatives from the office of Sen. Frank Lautenburg will be available from 1 to 3 p.m. to provide information on federal programs and benefits for eligible residents of Ocean County.

3. Join Kim Capone from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Jacques Cousteau Coastal Education Center in Tuckerton as she discusses her experience studying flatfish for her Master’s theseis while living among the Kiwi for four years.

4. The Mill Pond School is holding its Back to School Night.

5. The Lacey Library is hosting New Jersey Birds and Beyond at 7 p.m. Join author Susan Puder for a look at the resident and visiting birds that inhabit New Jersey.
