School Board Agenda, April 15

The board will be approving teacher evaluation rubrics, school improvement panels, a five-year maintenance plan and a new principal for the Lanoka Harbor School

The Lacey Township Board of Education is meeting for its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Lecture Hall at Lacey Township High School.

Items on the agenda include:

  • The board is approving a request for 2013-14 district taxes from Lacey Township in the amount of $44,129,698.
  • A five-year maintenance plan is being approved. The plan includes $3,974,475 in expenses.
  • The district has been designated as an Approved Teaching Practice Evaluation Instrument Provider. In 2012, the legislature unanimously passed a law requiring new teacher and principal evaluations to be implemented by 2013-14. The new program is designed to recognize those who excel, identify those who need additional support and provide feedback and professional development to teachers. The district is approving teacher evaluation rubrics and school improvement panels.
  • Lacey Township High School Assistant Principal Jeffrey Brewer will be approved as the new principal of the Lanoka Harbor School. Brewer will be replacing His salary will be $108,000 with $2,500 in longevity, starting July 1.
