Baseball: Returning home from spring break in Florida, where the Lions went 2-2 against teams from all across the country, spirits were high in Lacey.
Lacey hit a bump in the road with a three-game losing streak this week, but snapped it with an important divisional win over Pinelands Regional on Friday. In three games this week returning from Florida, the Lions went 1-2, bringing their record to 3-7 and 1-3 in the division. With sophomore Eric Reitmeyer bringing home the winning run against Pinelands Regional on Friday with a walk-off hit, the Lions hope it can spark them, as despite being 1-3 in the division, they are only two wins off behind division-leading Manchester with a big week coming up.
On Monday and Wednesday, the Lions will play road games at 3:45 against Central Regional and Manchester, respectively. Later, on Friday, Lacey will host the Brick Dragons at 3:45. With six straight games against B South rivals, the next two weeks will be the biggest of the year for Lacey baseball.
