Lacey Township High School Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Time-Sensitive Bomb Threat Causes Officials to Evacuate School

Officials evacuated Lacey Township High School on Dec. 13 after a student found a time-sensitive bomb threat written in the boy's restroom.

The police were alerted about the threat at 10:55 a.m. Students were then evacuated to the parking area. According to Lt. James Veltri, the evacuation was a part of the school's prepared emergency plan.

K-9 units from the Ocean County Sherriff's Department, Brick, and the NJ Transit reported to the scene.

Police did not release what time the note said the bomb would explode. No device was located, Veltri said.
