Lacey Tops Ocean City in State Semifinals

Lacey came out on top against Ocean City by just three points in the South Jersey Group III semifinals, All Shore Media reported.

Senior point guard Tasheen Carrow was a standout in Friday night's game with 21 points and five assists, All Shore Media said. Carrow also scored two free throws to carry the Lions to a three-point lead with less than 30 seconds on the clock.

Senior center Tyrell Smith scored 10 points and had 16 rebounds. Senior guard Ryan Reitmeyer shot a 15-foot jumper to push Lacey to a 45-44 lead with less than 30 seconds left.

The Lions (22-4) will faceoff against No. 7 seed Camden at home on Monday. A championship win would earn Lacey its first sectional title in program history.
