Stroke Awareness Programs through Kimball Medical Center
As part of its ongoing effort to educate seniors about their health, the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center will offer stroke awareness programs at several local libraries on the following dates:
- September 25 at 11 a.m. at the Stafford branch of the Ocean County Library, located at 129 N. Main Street in Manahawkin
- September 28 at 2p.m. at the Howell Twp. Library, located at 318 Old Tavern Road in Howell. *Note, to register for this session, contact the Monmouth County Library System at 732-938-2300.
- October 8 at 2 p.m. at the Plumsted branch of the Ocean County Library, located at 119 Evergreen Rd. in New Egypt
- October 17 at 2 p.m. at the Jackson branch of the Ocean County Library, located at 2 Jackson Drive in Jackson
Health coaches will offer ways to prevent a stroke, identify the signs and symptoms of a stroke and provide free blood pressure screenings, as well as answer general health questions.

The Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center promotes healthy lifestyles among seniors through activities including educational lectures, health screenings, support groups and exercise classes, as well as diabetes management and diabetes support groups facilitated by a Registered Nurse and a Registered Dietitian.
