Delayed Opening for All Lacey Schools

Due to the inclement weather, there is a two-hour delayed opening for the Lacey Township School District.

The National Weather Service has lifted their winter weather advisory. What was supposed to be a snowstorm accumulating two to four inches left only a dusting, which may still affect your morning commute.

• According to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, as of 5:46am, the right lane on the NJ Turnpike southbound is closed due to an accident South of Interchange 6 - Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mansfield Twp.
• As of 4:55am, there is a 45 miles per hour speed restriction on the New Jersey Turnpike in both directions from Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville Twp to North of Interchange 8A - NJ 32 in South Brunswick Twp, according to the NJ Turnpike Authority.
• According to 511nj.org, as of 5:15am, there is plowing and salting on the Atlantic City Expressway in both directions between Atlantic City Convention Center/Eastern Terminus in Atlantic City and Western Terminus - NJ 42 in Washington Twp. There is also a 35 miles per hour speed restriction on the Atlantic City Expressway in both directions in the same area.
• Lacey Township School Distirct- two hour delayed opening.
• Ocean County Vocational Technical School - 90 minute delayed opening for all locations and centers. Fitness center will be closed in the morning.
• Monsignor Donovan High School, Toms River- delayed opening.
• Ambassador Christian Academy, Toms River- two hour delay.
• Cherry Lane Child Care & Learning Center, Toms River- closed.
• Chestnut Hill Nursery School- morning session closed.
• Holy Cross Christian Nursery, Toms River- one hour delay.
• Learning Academy Preschool & Daycare, Barnegat- two hour delay.
• Ocean County YMCA, Toms River and Barnegat- Open but closed to morning Y kids.
• Toms River Nursery School & Kindergarten, Toms River- morning childcare cancelled; morning classed to begin at 9:45 a.m.
• Treasured Angels, Barnegat- opening at 11 a.m.
• Westminster Nursery School & Kindergarten, Toms River- Kindergarten students report at 11 am; morning classes are cancelled; Afternoon classes begin at 12:30.
