The Recreation Department is partnering with the Forked River Outdoor Group which will be renting paddleboats, kayaks and canoes for lessons and all season long.

The kayaking program is designed for beginners and first time paddlers and is led by a certified instructor.

The class is being offered on Saturday, May 19 with a rain date of May 20 at Lake Barnegat. Session I will be from 10 a.m. to noon and Session II will be from noon to 2 p.m. The program costs $25 per person, including boat rental, or $15 for students 15 years old or under.

Skating

The Recreation Department will be celebrating the reopening of the township skate park by offering a skateboard clinic on Saturday, May 12.
