Township Committee Holds Third Budget Workshop Meeting

The Lacey Township Committee is holding its final budget workshop meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m.

This workshop meeting will be the committee’s third. All emergency services will present their proposed budgets for the year.

In previous workshop meetings, various departments including Public Works, Police, Community Development, Code Enforcement, Recreation, Finance, the Municipal Court, Tax Assessor, Tax Collector, Municipal Clerk, and Administration discussed the 2011 municipal budget.

During these meetings, each department went line item by line item to show where the money is being spent and why it is necessary.

After tonights's meeting, the committee will proceed to develop the 2011 municipal budget.

The meeting is open to the public. Residents have the opportunity to speak at the end of each budget workshop.
