Republicans Claim Victory in Lacey Committee Race; BOE Member Ousted

Incumbent comes up just short in Lacey BOE race

Two Republicans bested two Democrats to win seats on the Lacey Township Committee Tuesday.

Steven C. Kennis and Peter A. Curatolo beat out Alison Lemke and Gary Vaccaro. Kennis received the most votes cast, with 4,828, according to county data.

Results:

Kennis: 30.31%
Curatolo: 29.11%
Lemke: 19.40%
Vaccaro: 21.10%

Board of Education:

One incumbent was re-elected to the Lacey Township Board of Education while another was ousted.

Current school board member Linda A. Downing won re-election but Frank Palino came up just slightly short of winning another term.

Downing collected 2,470 votes. She will be joined on the board by Donna McAvoy, who won 2,651 votes and Shawn Giordano, who received 2,097 votes.

Palino received 1,993 votes.
