Municipal Assignments Made for 2012

Committee members were assigned to various township departments and committees during the annual reorganization meeting

After Mark Dykoff was sworn in as Mayor and David Most as Deputy Mayor, the committee made municipal appointments when the township reorganized on Sunday.

Each committee member serves as a liaison for various township departments. That member then negotiates and works with the respective department.

The assignments are made annually and can change depending on the mayor and the workload, Dykoff said.

Decisions for municipal appointments are made in executive session and depend on committee member's interest in certain areas as well as their qualifications, he said. For example, when Brian Reed was mayor, he served as a liaison to the police department because he was a former officer.
