One of the honorees was Nancy Eriksen, who works at the Oyster Creek Generating Station and has raised over $3 million for the United Way by coordinating 15 campaigns for the organization sponsored by Exelon, the owner of Oyster Creek.

She also has raised $500,000 for the Light House Center in Waretown

The chosen honorees, all from Southern Ocean County, have "attained remarkable success and made significant contributions to better our community, especially in the wake of Superstorm Sandy," a statement from the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. "They exhibit essential Girl Scout leadership qualities making them valuable role models for girls in our area."
