Lacey Democrats Tap Pancza To Run For Township Committee Seat

The Lacey Democratic Organization has selected Gregory Pancza to run for the lone available Township Committee seat this year.

“Our selection committee was very impressed with Greg and we are honored to have Greg represent Lacey Democrats," Lacey Democratic Municipal Chairman John Coan said.

Pancza, a Bradley Beach police officer, has lived in Forked River with his wife and two children since 2009. He is also a member of the Forked River Fire Company and is an instructor at the Ocean County Fire Academy.

"It's time for all our residents to be properly represented on the committee," Pancza said. "I want to bring good government back to Lacey Township by ensuring the voices of all residents are heard."

“Greg’s strong character, knowledge, and passion will make him an outstanding committeeman," said Democratic Club President Gary Vaccaro.

Pancza came in third in 2013 in the contested Republican primary for two seats on the committee.

Republican Township Committeeman David Most announced recently he will not seek another term.

also the D rating does hurt the town. who wants to move a family here with a bad rated school system? not many,,and your power plant does not help either btw. close it make it a wind or solar or gas something other than the scary nuclear crap please! has a plant as old as this ever been shut down before?

@grace We have no master plan to speak of. The TC is again mending it with bandages. I also agree it is time to close the Nuclear Plant down, but the democrats has opposed what to replace it with. That is my point. No master plan for the township to address growth and survival. Thats what we need in a candidate!

Just what Lacey needs, a cop on the committee. If hope he'd do the job for free considering his over inflated salary. Does that mean that whatever the Chief asks for he'll get?!?

well the chief will be retiring soon anyway
