As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, 1,906 Lacey residents remain without power due to Hurricane Sandy.
Since Sandy hit, JCP&L has served 13,088 residents. Although 15 percent of the township remains without power, JCP&L has so far restored electricity for 1,027 residents today. Approximately 2,659 residents had power restored on Monday, 842 on Sunday and 1,790 on Saturday.
JCP&L is confident power will be 100 percent restored to those areas that are not compromised, Township Administrator and Municipal Clerk Veronica Laureigh previously said. Meters are being pulled from homes that cannot be restored.
Residents living in areas severely damaged in the storm should use caution when having power and gas restored. Ensure your home is safe prior to turning on the electric.
JCP&L is expecting full restoration to Lacey Township by Saturday, Nov. 10, according to data the electric company provided on the state's Hurricane Sandy Information Center.
