Gov. Christie to Hold Lacey Town Hall Meeting

Gov. Chris Christie will be discussing his middle-class reform agenda and taking questions from local residents at 3 p.m. Thursday

Gov. Chris Christie will be holding a Town Hall meeting at the Lacey Elks Lodge at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 27.

“He will continue to urge the legislature to move forward on his middle-class reform agenda, a set of overdue reforms to deliver relief to New Jersey families,” a news release from Christie’s office said.

Christie will be discussing his middle-class reform agenda and take questions from local residents, the release says.

“The Governor’s proposed reforms will deliver direct, middle-class tax relief, lower the cost of government and the property tax burden, and make government more accountable and transparent to the people,” the news release says.

Doors to the Town Hall open at 2:15 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. Residents can RSVP by clicking here. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

The Lacey Elks Lodge is located at 900 Beach Boulevard in Forked River.

Middle class reform is not income tax, it's the property tax!

Just remember all you whining, tough talkers, the NJSP will be checking License Plated tags in the parking lot and arrest all you low lifes who haven't paid your parking tickets, court cost or are driving on a revoked DL.

Everybody talks shit on one side of the computer and then rreality pokes its head up and the tough talkers seem to fold like a cheap suit.
Chief Wahoo September 26, 2012 at 04:41 PM
hey Governor, what are you doing with the $300 million that is for helping the fraudclosure mess we have in NJ and keeping the NJ homeowners in the safety of their houses.....you wouldnt be using that $300 million elsewhere, would you ??
Chief Wahoo September 26, 2012 at 04:43 PM
the property tax is THE MOST REGRESSIVE TAX IN THE WORLD !!!!! and isnt it strange , that neither gang of thiefs, want to fix that
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:39 PM
Well said! Both parties are complete scum, and equally so.
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Mark Twain said... you can easily fool a person, but you can't easily convince a person he is being fooled. Words our scumbag governor lives by.
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Nope..... he and his 10 or 11 state police body guards are never afraid to take on a challenge.
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:43 PM
Yeah, he had an impossible job ahead of him.... how would he ever possibly be able to be a worse governor than Jon S. Corzine. But, he managed to pull it off! Mission accomplished.
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:45 PM
When you go, give the governor a nice big wet kiss on his behind for me, ok? And tell him he's doing a great job.
Christie DaLiar September 26, 2012 at 06:47 PM
He's using the money to keep those all-important casinos alive in Atlantic City.
Booner September 26, 2012 at 07:40 PM
If it is that important for you to attend, then do it!! Middle class have vacation days, personal days, comp time, etc. Just like a Dr. appointment. If you really want to be there you will. It shouldn't matter the time. If it was at 7pm, people would be in line at 3 anyway, and you still wouldn't get in. What's the differance. Your all a bunch of whiners. Switch your day off, change shifts, find a way!
Cardinal September 26, 2012 at 08:37 PM
The point IS he Always has these meetings during the work day. Is he some kind of Lord that he can't be flexible to the voters of New Jersey and make the meetings at least half the time at a more convenient time for the working man? If he again uses his kids, his family as his excuse then How dare he take on the Responsibility of Chief Executive of a State and then short change public once he gets in. If you take the oath you have a responsibility to voters otherwise don't take the oath, you had a choice Christie !

jenny jones typical tea partier who says "so what if he uses the state copter?" . well its a big so what to we taxpayers not to mention the traffic mess it causes just so gov crisco can campaign for romney to a room full of republican denior citizens. an american parrot try watching another channel besides fox for a change "the president has no respect for those killed in the middle east on 9/11" . what fox news didnt show you was this president was at andrews airforce base to receive the bodies of the 4 americans killed with all due honors . oh and by the way the leader of that al queda attack on the libya embassy was committed by one sufyan omau . he was released from gitmo in 2007 and allowed to right back to terrorist headquarters . i wonder who was the president in 2007?
frank rizzo September 26, 2012 at 09:52 PM
jenny jones what exact medicare propaganda are you speaking of? fact is paul ryan as anyone can watch for themselves on c span when it came to voting ryan voted in favor of defense spending over programs like medicare. romney squawks about obama cutting $716 billion from medicare when that same amount of a cut is right in paul ryan's own budget. ryan also voted to eliminate meals on wheels for homebound seniors and transport for the disabled in favor of $600 toilet seats for the military. what loopholes will romney close? romney says he,ll tell you after the election. wait till those like jenny jones the tax loopholes that will be closed will be the mortgage interest deduction on her house or the deductions for her kids. romney is that guy on the side of the highway trying to sell you a new dvd player in a box that gullible people discover had only a brick in the box when they get home.

What I great place to hold a Town Hall meeting( NOT ). I hope he doesn't get treated the way they treat their members. I'm sure some of the fake poeple will be there too.

Elephants are actually quite intelligent, but that's tangential.

grace September 26, 2012 at 10:37 PM

Messages from newt's moon base September 27, 2012 at 12:33 AM
why does romney think airplane windows should be able to open and get some air in if there is a fire?as for the view granted i find it a very annoying show basically 5 women yelling over each other to be heard but he just happened to be in new york that morning to be at the u.n a few blocks away. . do you also think it was bad when fdr did his radio fireside chats to let this country know whats happening?
grace September 27, 2012 at 01:22 PM
he is no fdr and the view is not a fireside chat...its a screamfest and annoying...but i do know times are different and its 2012 wouldnt mind going back to a fireside chat tho....a calm chat
Gina September 27, 2012 at 02:48 PM
I will be there.
frank rizzo September 27, 2012 at 05:02 PM
good ask him why he vetoes taxes on the rich but lets the middle class have their backs be broken by the 50% extra in tolls they pay everyday to go to work. maybe he can end up calling you an idiot like he does to anyone whose questions he doesnt like. but dont worry this will be a lovefest by lacey's republican club otherwise known as "the ancients" . jenny jones george bush went on oprah and told her the best part of his presidency was " i kept us safe" . i wonder how many of those people that stepped out of the 80th floor windows felt safe that tues morning almost a year into his presidency.
Ben Dover September 27, 2012 at 05:37 PM
Stupid leftie comments. Everyone in NJ complains about their high taxes and then wants someone ELSE to pay more so it can find its way to you via state aid. For what? So the Abbotts can get more state aid? How about cutting pensions and eliminate that multi billion dollar expense?
grace September 27, 2012 at 06:56 PM
whoa frank the poor people who jumped had nothing to do with bush...come on that was the most horrific event in my lifetime and to blame anyone other than the terrorists doesnt make sense......but i do agree with the tolls on the parkway etc....they are out of control and should be fixed for nj citizens somehow....
grace September 27, 2012 at 07:02 PM
hey ben you hit on one of my pet peeves...people who receive pensions thwe state of new jersey pays and off they go to florida etc....lol i want a penalty if you dont live here then you get a reduced pension....also if people like the ladies on the view, who make millions, should they receive social security ?i dont think so...bet whoopi wont be turning her monthly check down....and maybe we put a cap on the amount of years you can get your pension,,,geez idk but something has to be done...we are drowning here
Christie DaLiar September 27, 2012 at 10:15 PM
Ummm, isn't STEALING a pension that someone else EARNED having someone ELSE pay for it? Typical Fox news loving koch-sucker
Christie DaLiar September 27, 2012 at 10:16 PM
Jenny, whose pensions do you think they are?
Ben Dover September 27, 2012 at 11:15 PM
Huh? Who wants to steal anyones pension. We need to kill the pension system and stop forcing 95% of taxpayers to pay income and property taxes for someone else's retirement. If we stopped the pensions now, gave them all the money they put in back, we would have immediate tax relief. Why can't we vote on who wants to pay for someone else's pension?? Where's our Democrat Assembly and Senate on this? Do you support tax relief or pensions for the few at the expense of the many?
