Verbal Dispute Leads to Simple Assault Charges for Lacey Woman

A Forked River woman was charged with simple assault after a fight erupted in the parking lot of Wawa, police said.

Police responded to the Wawa located at Route 9 and Taylor Lane in Forked River at 2 a.m. Feb. 1 on report of a physical altercation and charged Elizabeth Paez, 30, of Forked River.

Those involved in the fight reported that the verbal dispute begun earlier at the Forked River House and continued as the parties inadvertently crossed paths at the Wawa, police said.

Paez allegedly approached the two females while they were sitting in a vehicle and struck them both in the face.

Feb. 5
Officer Evan Androcy arrested Charles McDaniel, 31, of Forked River for several outstanding warrants from the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department and the Ocean Township Court.

He was transported to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $27,000.

According to Ocean County inmate information, McDaniel was charged with willful nonsupport and possession of marijuana. 

Feb. 4
Officer George Resetar for DUI arrested Emma Hess, 20, of Ocean Gate. She was also charged with reckless driving. Hess was processed and released. 

Feb. 3
Officer Noah Schaffer responded to a Penguin Court residence for a report of a theft. The victim reported that between Feb. 2 and Feb. 3 two central air-conditioning units were stolen from his rear yard. 

Feb. 2
Mark Paczkowski, 23, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested after a motor vehicle stop conducted by Officer Adam Ewart in the area of Haines Street and Maxim Drive.

Paczkowski had an outstanding warrant from Asbury Park. He was released after posting $101 bail.
