Vehicle Burglaries Continue in Lacey

Vehicle burglaries continued in Lacey over the past week, with items stolen including cash, keys and electronics.

On Monday, Officer John Simonson responded to the 300 block of Enterprise Drive in Forked River for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle, police said.

The victim reported that between 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 and 10 a.m. on Monday,Nov.  18, an unknown person or persons entered her vehicle and stole her purse. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence and there were no signs of forced entry. The purse contained identification cards and earrings. Total value of the stolen items is estimated by police at $192.

Also on Monday, Officer Charles May responded to the 300 block of Enterprise Drive in Forked River for a theft report.

The vehicle's owner reported that between 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, an unknown person or persons entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her iPod Nano and Garmin GPS with a total value of $250.

Then, again on Monday, May responded to the 200 block of Nautilus Boulevard in Forked River for a theft report.

The complainant in that case reported that between 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, and 6 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013, an unknown person or persons entered both of his unsecured vehicles parked in the driveway and stole $8.00 in cash along with a set of keys valued at $5.00. The total of the theft was $13, police said.
