The second Fischer Boulevard brush fire in two days fire closed the roadway, evacuated homes and damaged a business late Friday and early Saturday, police said.

Windsor Park Condominiums and residences on Beachwood Avenue were evacuated as a precaution. Minor damage was done to the exterior siding of a business at 669 Fischer Boulevard from the heat of the fire as it approached the property, police said.

There were no injuries reported.

At 8 p.m. on Friday, police and fire units responded to the area of Fischer Boulevard and Windsor Avenue to locate the fire. The roadway was then closed until approximately 10 p.m. as the units battled the blaze, police said.

East Dover and Island Heights Fire Departments are credited for keeping the fire under control and limiting its potential to have caused damage, police said.
