One man faces numerous drug charges, the other arrested for driving with suspended license and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle

A Waretown man is facing a number of drug charges after security personnel at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Plant reported a suspicious car and unlicensed driver at the main gate, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Andrew Slota and Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the Oyster Creek security checkpoint at 10 p.m. on July 24, the chief said.

Oyster Creek security personnel had already searched the car and found 13 wax folds of heroin, a hypodermic needle, marijuana, a glass smoking pipe and a vial of anabolic steroids, Paprota said.

Police arrested Jonathon S. Lloyd, 45, 21 Chapel Street, Waretown and the driver, Jacob Moore III, of Villas, the chief said.

Lloyd was charged with possession of heroin, possession of anabolic steroids, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a court appearance on the charges, Paprota said.

The driver of the vehicle, Jacob Moore, 3rd, of Villas, New Jersey, was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, the chief said.
