Two Forked River Teens Charged With Theft of Storm Grates
Two Forked River men were charged with theft and criminal mischief after allegedly stealing storm grates from the Lacey Shell Station
Two Forked River men were arrested after they allegedly stole storm grates from the Lacey Shell Station construction zone, police said.
Joseph Appolonia, and Brandon Koppenjam, both 18 and from Forked River, were arrested on Thursday, Dec. 15. and charged with theft and criminal mischief.
Police responded to the Lacey Shell Station, which is currently undergoing extensive renovation. The contractor reported that storm grates and copper wiring were stolen after cutting the electrical service from the new building.

The grates were valued at $1,200 with a replacement cost exceeding $6,000.
Koppenjam was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $20,000 in addition to two outstanding traffic warrants. Appolonia was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
