Two Forked River Men Indicted, Another in Jail

This week's indictments and bail hearings

Devin L. Dubrow, 27, of Tern Court, Forked River was indicted on charges of receiving copper piping and wire stolen from Sweet Jenny’s Restaurant in Barnegat on Jan. 3.

Tara E. Rand, 23, of Colonial Drive, Tuckerton; Jason Garthaus, 28, of Birch Road, Bass River and John Sauer, 28, of Ash Road, New Gretna, were also indicted in connection with the same incident.

The individuals were charged after an on Dec. 27.

The fire began in the ceiling of the log cabin structure above an office, officials said. It was most likely caused by an electrical wire malfunction.

  • James J. Herbst, 26, of East Panama Court, Forked River, was indicted on a charge of eluding Ocean County Prosecutor’s Detective Richard Fiocco on Oct. 7 in Lacey Township.
  • Joseph A. Scarpatti of Forked River is in jail after his April 8 bail hearing under Judge Wauters.

Scarpatti was arrested on Feb. 26 on simple assault and judicial contempt charges. Scarpatti’s bail is currently set at $2,500, with no 10 percent option.
