Two Beachwood Residents Charged With Forked River Burglary

Over $1,000 in jewelry was stolen

Two Beachwood residents were arrested for the connection to a Forked River residential burglary.

Thomas Laffey and Kimberly Lemmon, both 25, were arrested after a motor vehicle stop for the alleged connection to a burglary.

A resident of Riverview Drive in Forked River reported at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 that forced entry was made at their home while he was away for approximately 30 minutes. Jewelry valued at $1,200 was stolen.

Not long after, an Ocean Township resident contact police after witnessing a similar burglary to their neighbor’s home.

That call led to a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of Life and Lemmon. Police obtained a search warrant and recovered jewelry from both residences.

Both suspects were charged in both jurisdictions with burglary, theft and criminal mischief and sent to the Ocean County Jail. Laffey’s bail was set at $75,000 and Lemmon’s bail was set at $40,000.
