Two Arrested, Including Lacey Man, For Stealing Air Conditioning Units

Two were arrested this past week, including a Lacey man, for stealing air conditioning units on Sand Road in Berkeley, police said.

On Nov. 22 at 11:53 p.m., Ptl. Jonathan Sperber responded to the area of Sand Road in reference to a suspicious person call involving two subjects. Upon arrival Sperber observed a male in the area which fit the description of one of the males reported by the caller, police said.

Further investigation revealed the subjects were attempting to steal home air conditioning units from occupied homes.  Further, the subjects were also in possession of stolen cast iron which was also found to be stolen from a nearby residence, police said.

As a result, Casey Sinopoli 18, of Lacey Township  was charged with three counts of theft. A juvenile was also taken into custody for this incident.
