Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin, Marijuana Arrests

A traffic stop conducted by Lacey police on a vehicle traveling on Route 9 Dec. 20 led to the arrest of two township residents on drug charges.

Michael W. Guarini, 18, of Forked River, was charged with possession of heroin and a 17-year-old male from Lanoka Harbor – whose name was not released by police due to his age – was charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

They were both transported to headquarters and processed, according to police, after which Guarini was later released after receiving a criminal summons and the juvenile was released to his parent after being charged on a juvenile complaint.

Lacey police also arrested five people recently after receiving a tip that drug dealing was happening at a township home on Wednesday, police said.
