Toms River Man Arrested After Traffic Stop; Had Active Warrant

A Toms River resident was charged with having an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop in Berkeley, police said.

On Jan. 19th 2014 at 8:30 p.m., Ptl. Michael Tier conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 in the area of Pelican Drive in Berkeley.

Further investigation reveled that the driver identified as Harrie Garris, 46, of Toms River had an outstanding warrant out of Lakewood in the amount of $658.00, with no 10 percent.

Garris was transported to Berkeley Police H.Q. where he was processed and released on bail.
