Three Lanoka Harbor Men Arrested In Drug Bust

Lacey Township Police conclude a three-month long investigation into the distribution of heroin

Three Lanoka Harbor men were arrested after a three-month investigation into the distribution of heroin by the Lacey Township Police Department, officials said.

Scott Thomson, 56, Juan Santana III, 30, and Daniel Pentz, 35, all from 109 Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor were arrested after the police department executed a search warrant of the home.

The warrant was obtained after the investigation and the search yielded 155 bags of heroin and numerous items of paraphernalia consistent with the use of heroin as well as other drugs.

Thomson was charged with possession of heroin and maintaining a nuisance and was released on his own recognizance.

Santana was charged with the possession of heroin, possession of Suboxone, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $75,000.

Pentz was charged with possession of heroin and intent to distribute heroin as well as possession of a police scanner during the commission of a crime. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000.

The Barnegat Township Police Department and the K-9 Unit from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the search.

What happened to my comment?? All I said was ha, ha, ha - good one! If that was a crime, we would all have to be locked up! Pretty pithy, or at least I thought so!

the people who are selling drugs to our young people in this town should be put in jail they are doing lots of harm to this town this was a very good town to live in and has gone down hill lacey police should be chasing after all the dope dealers in this town to get them off the streets this will make this town a better place to live again!!!!!!!

Scott Thomson, twice in less than 2 months...and in his house...yet he is out??? How can they let him out, especially when he owns the house??

I beleive the police are trying the best they can. i takes months to gather enough evidence to convict or even get a search warrent. When people report these drug houses the police cant do anything until they watch for a very long time and wait until they have enough facts. If they go in on a hunch they would be wasting time. so people, keep watching. keep reporting and eventually they get busted. The only problem is there is always someone right behind them to take their place. Its a huge battle.

these people have been sellin drugs in lacey for years and every one of them has been busted severel times before. how long will this go on before they get some time. sittin in the county for a week is not a good enough punishment! stop letttin them out already!
