Two Waretown, one Forked River resident charged

Three area residents have been arrested and charged with burglaries connected with two seasonal residences located on Bayshore Drive in Barnegat and one seasonal residence in neighboring Waretown.

Arrested and charged between October 11th and October 15th were Anthony Brito 3rd, 19, of Forked River, Tyler Lecoque, 18, of Waretown, and Richard Tieto Jr., 20, of Waretown, according to Barnegat police.

The Barnegat burglaries occurred at two seasonal Bayshore Drive residences on Sept. 15 and Sept. 18.

More than $11,000 in electronics and jewelry was stolen from one residence. The suspects did not get away with any property from the second residence as an audible security system resulted in them fleeing the home.

All three subjects were charged with two counts of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

Brito and Lecoque were lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of $20,000 bail. Tieto Jr was processed and released after posting bail.

The arrests were the result of a three-week joint investigation with Ocean Township police. Barnegat Police Detective Maryann Cirulli made the arrests.

The Ocean Township Police also signed complaints against all three subjects for the burglary that occurred in Waretown.

Anthony Brito was indicted in September 2011 for burglarizing six vehicles in Ship Bottom, stealing valuables from them, and having an illegal drug on April Fools Day. Brito was accused of stealing a credit card, two cameras, two Ipods, and two pairs of sunglasses. He was charged with using a stolen credit card on April 2 in Stafford, and having Skelatin in Waretown on May 24.
