Three Arrested for Shoplifting From Lacey Walmart
Incidents occurred within a few hours of each other, police said
Three people have been arrested for stealing items from the Lacey Township Walmart store in two separate incidents that occurred within a few hours of each other.
Police first went to the store around 6:35 p.m. Oct. 23 for a report of shoplifting, police said in a statement.
Upon Officer Robert Flynn's arrival, 33-year-old William E. Stuccio, of Manahawkin, was arrested for two counts of shoplifting. The first count was for transferring and/or removing labels or price tags, and the second count was for concealing merchandise valued at $30.
Stuccio was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released after receiving a criminal summons.
Then, at 10:16 p.m., officers returned for an additional shoplifting report, according to police.
In the second incident, 25-year-old Sean Morrissey, of Toms River, was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $42.25, and 34-year-old Kelly O’Brien, of Barnegat, was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $110.23. O'Brien was also found to have an outstanding warrant issued by Tinton Falls in the amount of $300.
Both were transported to police headquarters, where Morrissey was processed and released after receiving a criminal summons and O’Brien was processed and charged on a complaint warrant with bail set at $2,500.
O’Brien was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of a total of $2,800 bail.
