Suspected Shoplifters Arrested at Lacey Walmart

Police arrested multiple local residents for shoplifting from the Lanoka Harbor Walmart store over the past week.

On Jan. 1, 27-year-old Lauren E. Saldana of Manor Drive in Manchester was arrested for allegedly taking merchandise valued at $195.74. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after receiving a criminal summons for the theft, police said.

On Jan. 5, 29-year-old Jessica Doctor, of Mallard Road in Bayville, was arrested after store security officers told police they saw her conceal several items in her purse before attempting to exit the store without paying.

The shoplifted items included one two pack t-shirt and bra, one pair of gloves, and one beanie, according to police. Doctor was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest uncovered a pack of Paper Mate Ink Joy pens hidden on her person, police said.

Doctor also was found to have a $600 warrant out of Manchester Township Municipal Court. She was transported to Lacey Police Headquarters where she was processed and released on a criminal summons after bail was posted on the Manchester Municipal Court warrant.
