Staten Island Motorist Arrested on Drug Charges

Man had marijuana, paraphernalia, police say

A Staten Island man's allegedly careless drive past Lacey officers resulted in drug charges Thursday.

Police arrested Sean M. Suppa, 25, at approximately 6:44 p.m. on drug and careless driving charges after leaving an accident scene to pursue his vehicle.

Officers Peter Donahue and Noah Schaffer were at the intersection of Lacey Road and Vaughn Avenue to assist with traffic control at an accident scene when police said they saw Suppa drive "carelessly" through the intersection.

Donahue and Schaffer left the accident detail and pulled Suppa over at the intersection of Lacey Road and Caldwell Avenue. During the stop, police said the officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

Suppa was arrested, processed and released on summonses of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also issued summonses on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and careless driving.
