Police officers are looking for a suspected purse snatcher who stole more than $900 worth of goods.
On March 10, Brick officer Joseph Rossi responded to the Shop-Rite located at 744 Route 70, for a report of a purse that had been stolen. Police determined the purse had been taken from the store by an unknown woman.
Shortly thereafter credit cards contained in the purse were used to make purchases in excess of $900.00 at several local stores and gas stations, police said.
It appears another female was also involved in the use of the credit cards. Attached to this story are pictures of both females involved.
The older female in the pictures is the subject that initially was observed leaving the Shop-Rite with the victim’s purse. It is believed that these subjects left the area in an older model Mazda Tribute.
The vehicle was red in color, and no license plate was observed. A picture of the suspect vehicle is also included with this release.
If you believe you can identify either of these subjects depicted in the pictures, or feel you may have any other information that can assist with investigation, please contact Detective Daniel Waleski in the Brick Township Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-262-1170.
